Episode 28 – BUM

cover

Canadian pop punk legends BUM are set to reunite on stage at the Rifflandia Festival for the first time in twenty years since disbanding.  Frontmen Rob Nesbitt and Andrew Molloy sit down with Jake for an in depth talk at how the band formed and why their music resonated with so many fans over the years.  They discuss what inspires their lyrics, the band’s rock star status in Europe, why they never got the mainstream success they should of and what they’ve been up to since parting ways.  Once the FNL Podcast took off, Jake repeatedly said he wanted to interview a short list of dream guests and BUM was one of them.  Twenty years in the making, this interview is everything you want to know about the band that may of had to fall apart to realize they needed to fall back together again.

  4. I’ve always wanted to know about their songwriting inspirations and to hear Rob’s story was mind blowing. Whoever that girl was sure did a number on him, poor guy. Sounds like he’s much happier now and I can’t wait to see them at Rifflandia.

  7. Jake, you’ve really been knocking it out of the park with these recent interviews. I was so thrilled to hear this interview with one of my favorite bands. Another great, illuminating interview. I was particularly moved by his description of the fire at Kevin Lees apartment.

I implore anyone to check these guys out, true legends of pop punk rock.
